When we have an opportunity by invitation, or serendipity, whatever the case might be, and you're really committed and serious about the welfare, and the well being of others, and mainly those that are younger, you get excited about it, and you take advantage of it.

You don't remember anything I say today, I'm a big proponent of telling you get the research jobs.

For me it's an opportunity to pay it forward. I was tremendously blessed by the variety of opportunities that I had here, as a student at Winston Salem State, as someone who's currently a university administrator and an educator. I understand the importance of these interactions, but ultimately is an opportunity for me to pay it forward

The impression I had with the persons who participated as panelists today was that they were genuinely interested not only in advancing their own legacy or their own careers.
